Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire Hails Aregbesola Uncommon Strides, Promise Total Support For His Second Term

The ancient town of Iwo was in a total jam-packed today as hundreds of thousands of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party faithful across Iwo, Olaoluwa and Ayedire Federal Constituency gathered to declare their support for Governor Aregbesola second term re-election in the August 9 gubernatorial poll in the State.
The mammoth crowd at the venue of the event according to people of the constituency really rattled opposition parties in the state as it was adjudged the heaviest crowds Iwo has ever witnessed in history, as vehicular activities were grounded for several hours.
Mr Rahamon Oluwole, who was selling T-Shirts and Caps very close to the Iwo City Stadium, the venue of the mega rally said he had never seen a crowd like that since he was born.
Oluwole who vowed to mobilized his family for Aregbesola during the forthcoming gubernatorial election said he had never seen development of any kind near what Governor Aregbesola has wrought in the State of Osun.
He therefore urged people of Iwo and Osun in general who really appreciates good governance to ensure the return of the governor for a second term so as to consolidate and complete all other projects he has started.
Corroborating Oluwole, Alhja Yidiat Azeez asserted that it is only the enemies of development that wouldn’t wish continuity for a performing governor as Aregbesola who has combined uncommon courage, accountability, consistency and actual development in the state.
Addressing the people of Iwo Federal Constituency, Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola promised more dividends of democracy in the state if he is given the opportunity to paddle the canoe of the state for another four years.
Aregbesola who was excited by the large number of the people gathered at rally vowed to rehabilitate Iwo/Osogbo road when he emerges victorious in the forthcoming election.
The state helmsman however assured the people of Osun that he will create more job opportunity for the youths contrary to what the oppositions were peddling around that he would sack workers when he emerges.
While charging the people on the need for them to exercise their civic right comes August 9, Aregbesola said it is incumbent upon all electorate to cast their votes and stay back to defend their vote, adding it is by so doing that they could guarantee the sanctity of their votes.
Aregbesola said it is a must for every individual who had reached the voting age, to vote and defend his or her vote, saying that they should not be intimidated while defending their votes.
He added that, “It is very important to vote and defend that vote with all legal means. He explained that there are many way to defend their vote in a locally manner considered to be legal.
“Your vote is your rights. You must vote wisely. We must before the election certify that your names are on the voters list of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Do not allow anybody to lure you into relinquishes your voter’s cards for any reason. That is your license to choose who governs you.”
Aregbesola maintained that if the people wait behind at the polling station fully armed with legitimate weapons, nobody would dare unleashed terror on them or make attempt to rig the election.
The governor said: “You must not leave the polling station after voting but stay at reasonable distance that will not undermine the voting process. It is by that you can guarantee the security of your votes. Do not be afraid of them. Stay at the polling units and maintain peaceful conduct.”
Aregbesola also enlightened the electorate on the need to ensure that the election results at the polling units are written on the Form ECO8, saying that they should not accept result written on any paper except the official FORM EC08.
He added that any election result written on any paper is not valid; stating that it is assumed election does not take place where there is no Form EC08.
