Justice Oloyede To Appear Before Petition Panel Today
Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oleyede, a serving judge of Osun State will this morning appear before the investigative panel constituted to probe the petition she wrote accusing Governor Rauf Aregbesola and her deputy, Mrs. Titilaoye Tomori of impropriety.
Following her petition, the state House of Assembly had constituted a seven-man panel to look into the allegations and submit its findings within two weeks.
Consequently, the panel summoned the petitioner to appear before it today at the House of Assembly complex.
The panel in a letter signed by its chairman who doubles as the Deputy Speaker, Akintunde Adegboye asked Justice Oloyede to appear before the panel with her evidential proofs to substantiate the allegations raised in her petitions.
According to a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the speaker, Mr. Goke Butika, the letter reads in part, “You are to appear before the panel constituted by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam saddled with the responsibility to investigate the allegations raised in your petition, and you are enjoined to appear with your evidences to substantiate the allegations”.
The panel chairman also disclosed that no form of fanfare, pro or anti protesters would be tolerated within the premises of state parliament, asserting that no trouble makers would be allowed to disrupt the peace of the state.
The speaker during the inauguration of the panel had stated that the sittings of the panel would not be conducted in the open but assured that the outcome would be subjected to debate in the House.
