Gentlemen of the Press

Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am highly honoured to be part of this momentous occasion, the 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony of Osun State College of Technology,Esa- Oke. Today, we gathered here to celebrate the achievement of our esteemed Graduands and to honour their dedication and perseverance that have brought them to this milestone.

As the Governor and Visitor to this great institution, I am particularly proud to note that Osun State college of Technology, Esa- Oke was established by my late brother and the First Executive Governor and Visitor, Alhaji, Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.

The College has continued to excel in its mission to provide high quality technological education to our citizens. The college’s commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship and community development is evident in the numerous awards and accolades it has received over the years.

I am particularly delighted that our administration has been working tirelessly to support the growth and development of this institution. We have invested in infrastructure, equipment and human resources to ensure that our students receive the best possible training. I am glad that we have been able to boost the morale of both academic and non- teaching staff of this college through prompt payment of salaries since we came on board about two years ago.

We have also cleared part of the arrears of half salaries we inherited from the previous administration. I want to use this opportunity to promise and assure you of our continued support to the college in its efforts to become a leading institution in technological education in Nigeria and beyond.

At this juncture, permit me to commend the effort of the College Management under the able leadership of The Rector, Dr Adegoke. The progress report we are having about the college gladdens my heart.

I specially thank the Chairman  of the Governing Council, for the great work he has been doing since his appointment. I appreciate the cooperation of both the management and other council members that is producing the remarkable progress the college is making.  Indeed I commend the entire Staff, the Staff Unions and the Students Union Government for the palpable peace in the college.

At this juncture, let me congratulate our graduates. To you, I offer these words of encouragement : You have been equipped with the skills, knowledge and expertise to make a meaningful impact in your communities and the world . You have been trained to be innovators,  entrepreneurs and problem solvers.

I urge you to use your skills and knowledge to create opportunities for growth and development, not only for yourselves but for your communities and our nation at large.

I express my gratitude to several individuals and organisations for their support as well as partnership and collaboration with the college in the training of these graduates  . I want to sincerely thank the Parents and Guardians for trusting us with the training of their children and wards.

In conclusion, I congratulate our graduands once again on their achievements. I urge you to remain connected to Osun State college of Technology Esa-Oke, and to contribute to its growth and development.

I thank you all for your audience.
