The Governor noted that his administration has approved a dual carriage way for Iwo, which is the dualisation of Adeeke -Odori road to be done in two phases, while the first phase will run from Odoori to the Post Office with a branching to the front of the palace from the Roundabout, the second phase will run from the Post Office to Adeeke junction.
He noted further that, in the second phase of his administration intervention in the health Sector, the Iwo General Hospital will be rehabilitated adding that the rehabilitation of Iwo Water Works is currently ongoing.

“In line with our commitment to equity and fairness, our administration has approved a dual carriage way for Iwo. The dualisation of Adeke -Odori road will be done in two phases. The first phase will run from Odoori to the Post Office with a branching to the front of the palace from the Roundabout. The second phase will run from the Post Office to Adeeke junction.
“I hereby direct the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to host community engagement events with stakeholders on the proposed highway. Additionally, the Ministry is further directed to mobilise to site from January to commence the dualisation project.
“Kabiyesi, other dignitaries, I am full of joy to inform you that the dualised freeway will have full solar light from Odoori to Adeeke.
“We will deliver all these under record time with direct emphasis on local content. We will ensure we use local personnel, local suppliers and local engineers. Our goal is to deepen prosperity by ensuring that Osun money circulates within Osun.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Iwo also stands to benefit from the recently launched Imole Agropreneur Project. The project targets a Public Private Partnership arrangement to raise a new generation of Agropreneurs to be supported by the government. The project launched at Imesi Ile recently expects each community to provide farm lands with the government providing farm input, farmland preparation, extension services and offtaking opportunities.
“To this end, I direct the Ministry of Agriculture to liaise with the director of agriculture in each local government as well as the traditional rulers to secure land and register potential agropreneurs. Kabiyesi, this is a project deeply beneficial to our communities.
“Ladies and gentlemen, our administration has rehabilitated 200 out of 400 primary health centres. For 2025, we are expanding our remodeling hand to the general hospitals. I want to assure this audience that in 2025, Iwo General Hospital will get its due attention.
“To our traditional rulers, I appeal for peace, unity and developmental collaboration. I have deep respect for our traditional rulers at all levels. I cherish Yoruba’s rich tradition and traditional rulership heritage. I will do all within my powers to promote and develop our traditional Institutions.
“It was in pursuit of that goal that I reaffirm the law that Oluwo of Iwoland is and remains the President of Iwo Council of Traditional Rulers. I urge Kabiyesi to continue to exercise his vested powers with all sense of accommodation. I stand by that reaffirmation because that is what the law and tradition say. I won’t support historical revisionism.
“I urge our traditional rulers to unite and join hands with our administration to develop the State. I am in a hurry to take Osun to the promised land of advanced infrastructure, commendable high human development index, well developed agro industrial society and a community of shared prosperity”, the Governor noted.

“For Iwo town, we are currently constructing several roads and bridges. You all can testify to such road projects. We have reconstructed the collapsed Adeeke Bridge. Under my direction, your son who is a technocrat in charge of highways is ensuring that Iwo got her fair share of road project allocation.
“The Gbongan-Iwo – Oyo road has received attention after my visit to the Minister of Works. Again, your son, our Senator for Osun West is following up. We must break the jinx on that long delayed project.

Again, your son who is the Commissioner for Water Resources is putting all attention to the ongoing water works rehabilitation across the state including Iwo.
