3 Million Technical Talent Programme(3MTT)

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, has launched the 3MTT programme, targeted at generating a pipeline of technical talents across Nigeria.

In line with the Ministry’s 1%-10%-100% implementation approach, this is a call for applications for training providers and interested Nigerians (who want to be trained) for the pilot phase targeting 30,000 tech talents across Nigeria

The programme is a critical part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at building Nigeria’s technical talent backbone to power our digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter.

Former President Olisegun Obasanjo has called on elected leaders at all levels of government to recommit to good governance to entrench democracy. Speaking while hosting Governor Ademola Adeleke at his Abeokuta Hilltop home, Obasanjo cautioned leaders to be loyal to the people by meeting and satisfying their people.” What is my advice to leaders? Well, let them serve the people. Let them ensure governance. That is the way to make democracy strong”, the former leader affirmed.Citing positive development in Osun state under Governor Adeleke, the elder statesman repeated his earlier commendation of the Osun state Governor, declaring that leaders have obligations to deliver democratic dividends to the people.Responding to an invitation to commission projects in Osun state, the former Head of State who accepted the invitation also tasked aides of leaders to be loyal to their bosses for them to perform.According to the Otta farmer, leaders need a cohesive team to perform and the aides must demonstrate absolute loyalty to their leaders for successful governance.Meanwhile, Osun State Governor Senator Adeleke who was in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital paid an unscheduled visit to his counterpart in his office at Oke Mosan, Governor Dapo Abiodun.Receiving the Governor of Osun State and his entourage including his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, Governor Dapo Abiodun commended Senator Adeleke for doing a wonderful job in Osun State.He lauded the Osun State government for promoting adire fabrics in the state saying this will go a long way in providing jobs for thousands of people who produce and trade in the products.Governor Dapo Abiodun said Osun and Ogun State shared so many things in common especially in the area of culture and tourism. The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has rejoiced with the Owa of Obokun and the Paramount ruler of Ijeshaland, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran III, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, eulogizing him for his sustained commitment to the promotion of Yoruba heritage.

The Governor who appreciated Oba Aromolaran’s forward-looking leadership as manifest in initiatives undertaken since assuming his forbearers’ stool, said his birthday offers a moment of reflection of the transformations visible in the areas under his rulership.

Governor Adeleke acknowledged Oba Aromolaran’s immense importance in preserving our heritage, culture and traditions, lauding his devotion to upholding our values and fostering cohesion in his domain.

Governor Ademola Adeleke is extremely pleased to rejoice with four legal practitioners of Osun state extraction who were conferred with the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) , describing their elevation as a thing of pride and joy for the state.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke extolled Messrs Kazeem Adekunle Sobaloju, Bamidele Olawoye, Adedayo Samuel Adedeji and Yemi Adewale Mu’sbaudeen Adesina as exceptional professionals who have distinguished themselves in the legal field, noting that their promotion to the SAN title is a true reflection of their capacities.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has praised the Nigerian military for shunning anti-democratic acts, describing democracy as a necessity for all societies.

Welcoming the Chief of Army General Taoheed Lagbaja to his country home on Thursday, Governor Adeleke condemned democratic setbacks in some parts of Africa and urged the strengthening of democratic correction mechanisms instead of coup d’etat.

He described the Nigerian military as a thorough bred professional service which uphold respect for the national constitution while serving as a protector of the democratic process as well as national stability.

Said “the military, especially the Nigerian army, is a critical pillar of our national life. We owe the military accolades and commendation for securing and protecting the nation.

“Our existence as a nation that is united despite challenges is linked to the patriotism and sacrifice of the military. When the civil population is sharply divided , the military remains united.On many occasions, the military saved our nation from disintegration.

“Your reaching out to the civil population as a policy is a giant step to further unite the nation. I commend this civil- military rapport”, the Governor posited, adding that “the Osun State Govt enjoys a close relationship with the military establishments in the state”

Governor Adeleke further expressed his appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff for the speedy intervention during the recent Ifon -Ilobu crisis,noting “Your patriotic action is laudable. We deeply appreciate you, dear General”

Responding, the Chief of Army Staff said he was in the state in continuation of his nationwide visit to army formations in the country, noting that he was at the Governor’s residence to pay homage.

He assured the Governor of deep support for democracy and good governance, assuring that the engineering construction arm of the army is prepared to undertake projects from any willing states.

The Chief of Army Staff was accompanied by top military commanders.

Apparently satisfied and impressed by his friendly disposition and genuine concerns to their welfare since he came on board the governance of Osun state almost a year ago,the entire body of senior citizens in Osun state under the umbrella of Nigeria Union of Pensioners( NUP) has passed a vote of confidence on the Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke . In a unanimous decision at a programme to commemorate International Day of The Elderly ,held at St Marks Grammar School ,Osogbo on Thursday,the Pensioners,accordingly conferred the award of the most pensioner friendly governor In Osun state on Senator Ademola Adeleke. A statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, in respect of the award ,was said to have been premised on the fact that ,since Governor Adeleke mounted the mantle of leadership as the 6th democratically elected governor of Osun state, Pensioners in the state have never had it so good and rewarding the way things have turned out to be for them in the last one year. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State is deeply shaken to learn about the demise of the Caretaker Chairman of Ede North Local Government, Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi.The sudden death of Alhaji Oyekanmi is devastating, not just to his family, but also Osun state, particularly Ede North Local Government, who have been denied the service of trusted hand in delivering good governance.Alhaji Jimoh was a politician with a purpose, always prioritizing the good of all above his personal interest in every situation. During the struggle for the enthronement of the Imole government, Alhaji Jimoh showed discipline and unimaginable sacrifices.Alhaji Jimoh was a long-time member of the Adeleke political dynasty, but he was much more than that to me. He was loyal to a fault and more, reliable, no matter the circumstances. Alhaji Jimoh impact on Osun politics, particularly in Ede North, where he was a strong grassroot mobilizer for our great party, the PDP, is hard to miss. ….Sues for total Peace and Order

Sequel to the near state of total peace and harmony being envisioned by his administration in both Ifon and Orolu communities in the wake of the recent communal clashes, Osun state governor ,Senator Ademola Adeleke,has directed that the hitherto 24-hour curfew imposed on the two warring communities be reduced to 12.

Governor Adeleke’s latest directive was anchored on the good compliance to the last week ,Saturday, Peace Agreement signed by the communities in both Orolu and Irepodun local governments to bury their hatchets and embrace a lasting peace over the communal clashes.

Governor,Adeleke ,
however,maintains and re emphasises his earlier directive of taking complete possession by his administration of the disputed lands until when the imbroglio is finally seen to have been amicably brought to an end by the natives.

Accordingly, the hitherto 24 hour curfew, from dusk to dawn,earlier in place, has now been directed by the governor to be between 6am and 6pm daily.

A statement to that effect by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, on behalf of Governor Ademola Adeleke, reads :

“That, based on the recent Peace Agreement signed by Ifon and Ilobu Communities of Orolu and Irepodun local governments respectively, the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke is happy to state that the two communities are gradually embracing the need to engender peace and harmony , forthwith.

“Premised on this, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun state , in his capacity as the Chief Security Officer of the state, has relaxed the 24 hour curfew to 12 hours daily,beginning from 6am to 6pm with immediate alacrity.

“That the Joint Security Task Force comprising the Nigeria Army, Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps and other security agents should ,however,continue their normal 24 hour surveillance of both Ifon ,Ilobu and Olokanla communities.

“That the good people of the two local governments should go about their businesses without any fear or apprehension anymore as their security are guaranteed with the eagle eyed security personnels in place .

“That,anyone or group of persons found or caught doing or instigating any act,knowingly or unknowingly, to mortgage the lasting peace being currently envisioned in the warring communities would be made to face the music,via necessary prosecution, in line with the dictate of the law of Nigeria.

“That, Governor Ademola Adeleke,for the umpteenth times, appreciates the resolve of the leadership and people of the warring communities to embrace peace.

“That, the present administration ,under the executive watch of H.E Senator Ademola Adeleke holds unity and peaceful co-existence of the people of Ifon,Ilobu and Olakanla sacrosanct just as it holds it for the entire villages, towns and cities of the state of the living string ; and

“That Osun state government, once again,sympathizes with the families of victims of the communal clashes.
