Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State notes with excitement the confirmation of Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service by President Bola Tinubu, hailing the decision as perfect and offers promising direction for the outfit.

The Governor appreciates President Tinubu for recognizing the capability of Mr. Bashir to drive his agenda in the paramilitary outfit, saying his confirmation is a bold assertion of the President’s commitment to redirect Customs for more efficiency and productivity.

He congratulates Mr. Bashir for the deserving progress in his career, noting that his confirmation is a reward for years of dedication, competence, and pronounced commitment to public service.

Governor Ademola Adeleke extends heartfelt condolences to the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Morruf Dele Ayofe over the death of his beloved father, Alhaji Wahab Ayofe.

Governor Adeleke expresses the devastating impact of Baba’s loss, noting that as someone who have watched him close for decades, it is hard to quantify the pain his demise has wrought on family and loved ones.

He conveys his heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Hon. Ayofe and everyone impacted by Alhaji Ayofe’s passing, urging them to sustain his legacy of good deeds and the values that defined his life.

The Governor assures the deceased’s family of his support in this moment of grief and pains, adding that “I offer you my prayers and hope that God gives everyone left behind the strength to accept the weight of the irreplaceable void that his exit has created.”

“Please, accept my condolences and it is my prayer that Almighty Allah in His infinite grace repose his soul and grant Alhaji Ayofe an abode in Aljanah Fridaos.”

The Osun State Government has constructed over 55 kilometers of roads and is encouraging private individuals to join in the drive to bridge the state’s infrastructure deficit, Spokesperson to the State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has declared.

Reacting to the opposition party’s statement on Ilesa road project sponsored by Mr Rasheed Sarumi and commissioned by Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Spokesperson said the State Governor was invited to commission the road by the businessman and that at no point was any claim made that the state government constructed the road.

Governor Adeleke had while commissioning the road commended Mr Sarumi for his community service and urged other endowed citizens and residents of the state to emulate the contribution of Sarumi.

The Governor at the commissioning stressed further that Sarumi is a model other business leaders in the state should emulate, a position echoed by the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

“In what way is it a crime for the state governor to honour a distinguished Osun citizen who is giving back to the society? Governor Adeleke has constructed over 55 kilometers of roads with another 45 kilometers in the pipelines. The administration has not and will not claim projects that do not belong to the administration.

“Is the APC saying the Governor should not have encouraged the Sarumis and others to support community development by personally identifying with them? The current government is bridging the infrastructure deficit and it won’t be distracted by a party that failed woefully while in office.

” It is evidently clear that the sordid past of a rejected administration still weighs heavily on the opposition. Governor Adeleke is touching lives, upgrading infrastructures and rebuilding the state from the wreckage left behind by APC.

Even the worst of enemies are daily becoming friends of the administration with regular praise of “Mr Governor, you are really doing well. You indeed prove us wrong”

The opposition should await another shocker in the new week as Governor Adeleke unveils details of his infrastructure plans. Let fake news merchants prepare new rounds of fabricated submissions.

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke says it is the duty of every well Nigerians to contribute their quota towards national development.

The Governor stated this when he and his counterpart from Edo State, Godwin Obaseki commissioned various infrastructural projects in Ilesa donated by Chief Olakanmi Rasheed Sarumi.

It was a celebration galore for residents of Iloro, Isokun Garage road in Ilesa when Governor of Osun State, Senator Adeleke and his counterpart from Edo State, Governor Obaseki commissioned the road for the use of the public.

Speaking during the commissioning of the road and other projects donated to the Wesley Guild Hospital, an annex of the OAU Teaching Hospital, Ilesa, Governors Adeleke and Obaseki commended the Sarumi family for giving back to the society.

” I use this event as a point of contact with other well meaning Osun indigenes at home and abroad to join the tax credit scheme for infrastructure development of our state. This window of opportunity is a veritable win-win situation for the state and its residents.

” This is a good example for others to follow. Our government will provide the enabling environment to ensure that the credit scheme works. Interested residents and even friends of Osun will get in our government a facilitator for development and economic growth”, Senator Adeleke stated.

Earlier, the financier of the 2 kilometer road that spanned from Old Garage to the 125 year old Cathedral Church, Iloro in Ilesa.

Mr Olakanmi Rasheed Sarumi commended the two Governors for delivery on good governance.

He equally thanked Osun State Government for passing the infrastructural development and Tax Scheme which enabled the Sarumi family to embark on the projects

After commissioning the road, the Governors moved to the OAU Teaching Hospital, Wesley Guild Hospital Ilesa where they commissioned Mediada wards and the Sarumi Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre for the use of the public.

The project was a product of the recently signed executive order by the Osun State government tagged “Osun State infrastructural and social development Tax Scheme which enabled individuals to use their tax for the provision of infrastructure items.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Tuesday congratulated HIM Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, on the auspicious occasion of his 49th year birthday, eulogizing him as a foremost traditional ruler in the promotion of culture and heritage.

The congratulatory message, which was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, described Oba Ogunwusi as a symbolic leader, given his remarkable efforts towards the preservation of Yoruba ideals and culture.

Osun State Government has directed that all bedridden and healthy-challenged pensioners will henceforth have their audit exercise conducted through telephone, and as such, will no longer be required to be physically present at the venue of the screening exercise.

Pensioners outside the state at the moment no longer need to travel down to Osun State as they will also be having their screening through the telephone.

Additionally, pensioners in the diaspora will also be screened only through video calls.

In line with the above, the Pension Board is expected to make available all the particulars, especially pictures of pensioners to the Consultant, for ease of identification during the video call screenings.

The above directives take immediate effect.
