Osun state All Progressive Congress is reminded that former Governor Gboyega Oyetola held his maiden state executive council meeting on November 4 , 2019, almost a year after the 2018 governorship election. It is therefore a probable loss of memory for the state APC to accuse the current administration of either not holding or not announcing to the public the meetings of the state executive council meeting. As much as we are not using the abysmal record of the previous government as a yardstick, we pointed out this obvious deceit and memory loss to further help the public to see the falsity in the badly split state APC and the incorrigibleness of the state party leadership.Members of the public are assured that their Governor and his cabinet are working round the clock to expand delivery of democratic dividends and correct the big mess of the recent past. The cabinet members are for the past three weeks deepening the state sectoral agenda through rigorous brainstorming sessions with the establishment in preparation for an elaborate and expanded state executive council meeting. We advise the APC to read through its years of locust in state governance before spewing further falsehood and misinformation into public space.SignedMallam Olawale Rasheed,Spokesperson to the State Governor

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for proving his critics wrong by being a dancing but hard working Governor in the governance affairs of the state.
During his address at the 16th Harvest Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service held at the Love of Christ Generation Church C&S in Victoria Island, Lagos State, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo cited the Governor as an example of a leader who is not ashamed to praise God despite occupying highest office in the state, positing that dancing and working for God and the people are things to be proud of.
“Mr Governor, they call you a dancer. But you are dancing to praise God. And I heard you are working hard for your people”, Chief Obasanjo who spoke in Yoruba language affirmed.
In an event attended by the Ooni of Ife, His Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Aare Dele Momodu; Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun and members of Osun House of Assembly; and top political and traditional rulers, Chief Obasanjo said “dancing to praise God is praise worthy especially with the reports of good developments happening in Osun state.

“I call on His Majesty ,the Ooni of Ife and other royal fathers to support the Governor to deliver more. Mr Governor, continue to work closely with traditional rulers, elders and stakeholders of your state.
“I charge Kabiyesi Ooni to always host close door meetings with the Governor. God whom the Governor is praising will continue to support him. He will not fail”, Chief Obasanjo concluded.
Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke said his habit of praise worship is to celebrate the owner of heaven and earth, saying “I am never ashamed to hold unto God through song and dance.
“Several men and women of God predicted my governorship. I am here to praise God for the prophecy that has come to pass. My communion with God is to come back to thank and praise him.
“I do this in several places of worship. My covenant with God is also to truly deliver dividends of democracy to my people. In 100 days in office, I did what many could not achieve in four years.

The Osun State Government has dismissed the accusation of the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) of hoarding the N2bn fund received from the federal government as a mere rhetoric of palace jesters, urging the people of the state to be wary of a imbecillic scheme by the opposition to pitch them against the performing Adeleke administration.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the State Government said it was unfortunate that the APC is counting on sheer misinformation to warm itself back into the heart of the people following its abysmal performance in government that is responsible for the resounding rejections suffered at polls from Osun people.
Oluomo Alimi maintained the Adeleke administration’s resolve to transparency and judiciously administering any resource in its possession unlike the experience with the immediate past APC government, assuring Osun people that the N2bn is safe and will be applied in a transparent manner to their benefits.
“The undeniable truth about the Osun APC is that it is seriously down, but instead of working on its inadequacies that is responsible for the pitiable situation it has found itself, the APC is taking to wild and irresponsible lies to hoodwink unsuspecting public,” he noted in the statement.
“For the APC to begin to peddle outrageous claims that this government is hoarding N2bn fund received from the FG is a clear sign of how low it has sunk. The APC has become consistent in peddling wild theories and cooking tales just to create a false impression about the Adeleke administration in the minds of Osun people.
“Osun people will note that the Osun State Government announced the receipt of the N2bn fund from FG, but to guide against the kind of experience of the abuse that featured prominently in the past, the Adeleke administration is carefully thinking through utilization of the fund especially when it is not a free gift as Osun APC erroneously tried to paint.
“We therefore called on Osun people to reject the antics of the APC as it was never borne out of genuine concern for their welfare, but mere political pandering. The Adeleke administration understands the tough situation that the removal of fuel subsidy imposed on them and is working within available resources to cushion the impact.”, the statement noted.
The Commissioner described the APC as an irredeemably divided and discredited political platform that has permanently lost any goodwill with Osun people, adding that “the more the party lied, the deeper it sank into oblivion with the voting public”
