Objectives Of the Ministry
The Objectives of the Agency are
- Pragmatically promote the Commercial and Industrial development of the State of Osun through the empowerment of the people on the platform of cooperatives, informal and formal businesses;
- Formulate policies and programmes to enhance industrial and commercial activities and promote economic growth and development generally in the State;
- Formulate policies and programmes for the promotion and development of cottage and small scale industries in the State;
- Liaise with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and other relevant Government agencies on trade promotion and facilitation as well as industrial promotion and development;
- Promote investment generally, including but not limited to State Government participation in trade fairs, exhibition and publication of promotion of promotional materials
- Promote the development of industrial estates;
- Promote the production of industrial goods for export;
- Liaise with relevant industrial and trade groups and associations with a view to enhancing their contribution to the economic development of the State;
- Organize periodically, the staging of Osun Trade Fair as a means of promoting trade and investment;
- Gather, collate and analyse data that can facilitate further development of the State in the areas of Commerce and Industry;
