MUSLIM PILGRIMSâ WELFARE BOARD, STATE SECRETARIAT, OSOGBO.
Law to provide for the Establishment of Osun State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) was established through the Osun State Pilgrims Welfare Board Law Cap.110 of1st January, 1992.
The Board was formerly operating from its temporary base within the State Secretariat, Osogbo, Osun State till today.
The Board presently has Chairman and Vice Chairman Shaykh Morufu Olawale Isola Ph.D and Mr. Mudasiru Ibrahim respectively. The Nine Political Board Member and One Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board are being assisted with the Administrative Secretary to the Board. The Board also has a Director of Finance and Administration).
The Board is statutorily responsible for the annual conduct of pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for interested and qualified Muslims in the State.
The activities of the Board are carried out in conformity with the provisions of law of the State as well as National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abuja.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Board ensures adequate provision of suitable arrangement in the area of Transportation, Accommodation, Feeding, Health, Immigration and Currency Requirements during Umrah (lesser Hajj) and Hajj proper.
VISION OF THE BOARD
Providing and organizing an unparallel Umrah and Hajj Operations with a view to sustain the rites of Hajj as one of the fundamental pillar of Islam.
MISSION OF THE BOARD
Ensuring a unique and efficient service delivery on Umrah and Hajj operations through a committed, disciplined and effective workforce.
OBJECTIVES OF THE BOARD
The main objective of the Board is primarily to ensure efficient and effective pilgrimage to the Holy Land of (Makkah and Madinah).
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Aside from any other duties that may be assigned by the Osun State Government and The Ministry of Home Affairs Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring effective and efficient pilgrimage operations for intending Muslims in the state. The Board also;

- Protect and safe guard the interest and welfare of Muslim pilgrims on Holy pilgrimage as well as providing necessary logistic arrangement and contact with appropriate Federal Government agencies on issues of immigration and foreign currency for pilgrims.
- Providing necessary assistance in matters relating to the health of pilgrims within and outside the country.
- The establishment and maintenance of an adequate information system including the publication of literature or audio visual films for the purpose of educating the pilgrims.
- Making suitable arrangement for inoculation, transportation and accommodation of Muslims pilgrims amongst others.
- To make suitable arrangement for the transport of the Intending pilgrims viz: from Osun State Hajj Camp to Lagos International Airport for airlifting.
- To assist pilgrims in matters relating to currency exchange.
- To assist pilgrims in matters relating to travelling document such as : Yellow Card, Visa, Passport etc.
