Bamikole Omishore, is a seasoned International Relations and Digital Communication Specialist, with expertise in managing government public relationship, policy formulation, advocacy, political campaigns and media relations.
A renowned master strategist, staunch youth advocate, serial tech investor and dedicated farmer, he has been, a leading advocate of youth inclusion in politics and governance.
Having received his primary education in Lagos and earned his first degree in Management Science from Coppin State University, Maryland, United States of America, Bamikole further enriched his knowledge with certificate courses at CUNY School of Journalism, Kelogg Business School, University of Oxford.
Bamikole, fondly called Banks, is known for his passion for using technology, particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning to transform traditional approaches.
Throughout his illustrious career, Banks has collaborated with seasoned business and political leaders, as well as enterprising young and emerging leaders in Nigeria and the Diaspora.
He served as the North American Coordinator for Ovation Magazine International, spearheading its digitization, and was appointed a Youth for UNESCO in 2010.
In 2011, Banks became the Special Assistant on Media and Advocacy to Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki of Kwara Central Senatorial District and was later appointed as the Special Assistant on International Relations when Dr. Saraki became the Senate President.
With a remarkable and enviable diplomacy, he is being consulted on a wide range of issues involving policy formulation, creative industry, media relations, electioneering, and foreign affairs.
As the Lead Coordinator of the Made -in- Nigeria initiative from 2016 to 2017, Bamikole Omisore played a crucial role in promoting the enactment of the Procurement Act to simulate local production and enhance the value of the Naira.
Between 2019 and 2023, he was the Deputy Director, The Africa Politeia Institute, Abuja, facilitating exchange programs for different tech start-ups to Germany: negotiating multi-million-dollar investments in the tourism sector for different states in Nigeria, providing business and risk advisory for foreign businesses in Nigeria and the Sub-Sahran Market, amongst other achievements, while he held sway as Deputy Director.
In 2021, as Project Lead (Agile Product Owner) in Accenture, New York, parts of his core responsibilities included but were not limited to acting as the liaison between product, IT, Sales and compliance termsto understand customer demand for new features and prioritizing the product roadmap; overseeing system integration, business process re-engineering, business transformation plans and risks assessments.
As a testament to his industry and tenacity, Banks has led significant projects, including the 2015 Kwara State Election Monitoring, 2019 PDP National Election Monitoring, and the passage of Not Too Young to Run Bill, Promise Kept Initiative and Open NASS Reform for the Office of the Senate President.
In recognition of his wealth of experience in business, politics, and policy creation and implementation garnered over ten years, on 26th July, 2023, the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke appointed Banks as Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, (SDGs) and Multilateral Relations.
