The amiable Hon. Sesan Oyedele, a Quantinty Surveyor of repute began his academics journey at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Modakeke between 1973 and 1978 for his first school Leaving Certificate after which he proceeded to Urban Day Grammar School, Modakeke between 1979 and 1985 for his West African School Certificate. Between 1987 and 1989, Hon. Sesan Oyedele was at the Polytechnic Ibadan for his National Diploma (ND) in Quantity Surveying and went back to same Polytechnic Ibadan Between 1990 and 1992 for his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Quantity Surveying and later proceeded to the Federal University of Technology, Akure for his Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying between 1998 and 2000. Hon. Sesan Oyedele is an enthusiastic and professional Quantity Surveyor possessing 30 years experience. He enjoys being part of a leading successful and productive team and able to work well on his own initiative. He demonstrates high level of professionalism in all his conducts in his chosen field of specialization. He is always aspiring to work in a globally competitive environment and contribute towards successful completion of projects that help in the growth of the organization and attain job satisfaction. As a young Corps Member between 1992 and 1993, he supervised several projects which include construction of the State Better Life House, Calabar, Cross River State, the construction of Multi-Purpose Market in Akpabio Local Government, Cross River State. He also did consultancy work and preparation of tender documents for various projects. Being a professional Quantity Surveyor/Site Supervisor, the vibrant Sesan Oyedele has handled and supervised several projects which include the supervision of the renovation of Fajuyi Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, preparation of tender for the rehabilitation of roads and car parks at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, supervision of the construction of Religious Centre Road, OAU, Ile-Ife.
This proud Modakeke son is also a humanitarian of note. His gestures in this regard are too numerous to mention, a few of them include: influencing the employment of youths in Ife-East Area Office of PHCN, NAFDAC, enrolment of 25 students for WAEC & NECO, empowering of 5 persons for small scale business to the tune of N50,000.00 each, Printing of big notes for students of higher learning, purchase of NECO forms for the youths, provision of financial Assistance to widows who lost their husbands during Ife/Modakeke crisis.
Hon. Sesan Oyedele also influenced the approval of 15KVA control station to Modakeke, payment of WAEC fees for students, donation of N100,000.00 for the purchase of AC, Television & Radio for Magistrate Court, Modakeke among others. He also ventured into physical developments for his area, they include construction of 3 block of Open Market Stalls at Better Life Market, Modakeke-Ife Construction of 2 blocks of 10 lock up stalls at Olorunsogo Market, Construction of 3 block Primary Health Centres as Constituency Project, Construction of 3 block Primary Health Centres as Constituency Project, Construction of a block of 2 Classrooms at Ogunsua Grammar School, Modakeke-Ife, Construction of a block of 2 Classroom at the Apostolic Primary School, Egbedore, Modakeke-Ife among others too numerous to mention.
As a Managing Director/CEO, he handled the Construction of Director General’s and Doctor’s Quarters, Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State, Construction of Tissue Culture Laboratory NABDAC, Ogbomoso Centre, Construction of the Federal Housing Authority, Low Cost Housing at Amikanle site, Lagos State, Construction of Mushroom House, National Biotechnology Development Agency, Odi Centre, Bayelsa State, Construction of Tissue Culture Laboratory for National Biotechnology Development Agency, Jos Zonal Office Plateau State and more.
As a politician, he was at a point, elected as the councilor for Modakeke Ward 11 and at one time served as a Supervisory Councilor and also a member of decision making body in the Area Office, Ife East Office, between 2003 and 2004.
A member of Chartered Institute of Transportation. This Modakeke born grassroots politician is happily married with children. He is currently the Commissioner for Transportation in Osun State.
