Lawal Abiodun Waheed, born on the 22nd of February, 1968, is a seasoned professional in fisheries services and a dedicated public servant. Married and committed to family and community, he has built a reputable career characterized by excellence and impactful contributions.

Mr. Lawal’s educational foundation was laid at St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, where he earned his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1978. He proceeded to Adventist Grammar School, obtaining his Secondary School Leaving Certificate in 1983. His academic pursuits continued at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he received an Ordinary National Diploma in 1987, followed by a First Degree in Zoology from the University of Ilorin in 1991. To further enrich his knowledge, he obtained a Second Degree from the University of Ibadan in 2005.

His professional journey began on the 19th of May, 1993, when he was appointed as an Agric. Officer II on Grade Level 08, Step 02. Over the years, his exceptional performance earned him a transfer from local government service to state service under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security on the 16th of March, 2016. He currently serves as the Director of Fisheries Services on Grade Level 17, a role he assumed on the 1st of July, 2019.
