Mrs. Olufunke Bukola Jolayemi was born on 27th September, 1967 to the family Chief Gabriel Olasunkanmi Oyeleke in Osogbo; Olorunda Local Government of Osun State.

She had her elementary education at the St. Matthew Primary School, Ila-Orangun in the year 1974 and Bethlehem African Church, Primary School, Agbongbe, Ede; between the Year 1975-1980; for her Secondary School Education; she attended Seventh-Day Adventist Grammar School, Ede from 1980-1985. From where she proceeded to then Oyo State College of Education between the year 1987-1990 and graduated with Nigeria Certificate in Education. She was admitted to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where she read Mathematics Education and graduated with Second Class Upper Division in the year 1994. On completion of her tertiary education, she was posted to Imo State for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps from 1994-1995.

When she completed  the National Service; she was employed by Osun State Government in August, 1995 as an Education Officer Grade II and she was posted to School of Science, Imesi-Ile; one of the Ministry of Education’s Model Schools for the training of Education Officers. She was posted back to Osun State Unity School, Osogbo after married to Bukola Michael Jolayemi from Ejemu’s compound Ila-Orangun in the year 1996. At Osun State Unity School, Osogbo, she served as a class room teacher and Head of Department of Mathematics for a period of thirteen years i.e 1996-2009.

She was posted out to Examinations Computer (Processing) Centre of the Ministry of Education; from 2009 -2010

She was later appointed as a Local Inspector Education (L.I.E.), for  Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Bode-Osi; in the year 2010-2013.

In furtherance of her career, she was posted back to Inspectorate Department of the Ministry of Education in the year 2013-2014 and also worked at the Curriculum Development & Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Education to serve at the Examinations Computer (Processing) Centre of the Ministry from 2014-2020 within the period acted as the Head of Examination Computer Processing Unit.

In the year 2020, she was appointed as the Deputy Director of School Department from where she was posted as Zonal Inspector of Education of Ede Zonal Education office in the year 2021 where she was till 11th May, 2023 when a posting instruction moved her to Osogbo Zonal Education Office as the Zonal Inspector of Education till 29th May, 2023 when she was appointed as one of the Permanent Secretaries in Osun State by His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.

Mrs. O.B. Jolayemi holds a B.Sc (Ed) Mathematics, M.Sc (Ed) Mathematics.

She is happily married with children.
